The project

1st D'Zine Office Solutions were commissioned by one of our long-standing clients to help develop a new Reception concept and design. Working closely with their action group we put together montage boards providing the different options and finishes which we thought would best suit the brief. Following a group decision we put the wheels in motion and managed a schedule to ensure that the project was fully completed over two weekends, with no disruption to the working office.

The works

First the area was completely stripped, including the flooring, ceiling and old reception unit. The existing ceiling was replaced with a new 600x600 suspended grid with new ceiling tiles and a new lighting layout was installed, including feature spotlights. The internal walls were then decorated using two vinyl finishes and the flooring was replaced using tiles. This included a perimeter boarder. Our main Reception manufacturer adapted a standard unit to create a perfect fit.

All the associated electrics were fed via the access flooring to provide an uncluttered look. Finally, the area was refurbished with new furniture, using fabrics to match the company's corporate image.

The full project was completed on schedule and within budget.
